You may have heard of a new innovation in the world of Bitcoin – the Lightning network. With it, it is possible to make instant, private payments for very low fees.
In this course we will show you how to use it, we will explain a few differences between the classic Bitcoin payment, which is confirmed by miners, and the Lightning payment, which is immediate and super cheap.
You can start using the Lightning network today – I recommend starting with friends as an easy way to settle small debts. For example, someone pays for lunch and others “chip in” in Bitcoin. It’s also a good way to onboard people to Bitcoin.
In this course, I will explain and show some basic wallets: Phoenix Wallet, Wallet of Satoshi, Blue Wallet and Bitcoin Lightning Wallet. I’ll tell you when to use which. Finally, we will show how, with the help of the Bitcoin lightning network, we can also pay to merchants that do not yet accept Lightning, but accept some cryptocurrencies – whether onchain Bitcoin, Litecoin or others.
